It is the fastest feline over short distances, having to rest after 400 to 500m. Its claws are blunt, non-retractable and sharp. They are mostly nomadic animals and not very territorial. They manifest two types of social groupings: on the one hand, some adults who help each other with hunting and, on the other, the pups with their mothers. The raising of the pups is exclusively the job of the mother. The cheetah, also called snow leopard, is the main predator of gazelles.
