Located in the Casa de Campo, 300m from the Madrid Fairground, the ZOO AQUARIUM OF MADRID is considered to be one of the most important zoological parks in the World, as much for the number of species and animals as for its constant research, conservation, reproduction and education work.

Since its inauguration in 1972 and over the years, the ZOO AQUARIUM OF MADRID has been acquiring a new dimension by including amongst its premises, within its grounds of 20 hectares, the most complete and fabulous installations: Zoo, Aquarium, Dolphinarium and Aviary which even merit individual visits and which make it the only European park which provides all four in one same space.

THE ZOO AQUARIUM OF MADRID has a very complete Zoo, with more than 500 species from all five continents and with 6.000 specimens, some as curious and lovely as the recently incorporated Koalas, others as surprising as the Bengal or albino tigers, and with updated enclosures such as that of the Gorillas: .Land of Gorillas.; but, in addition, it also includes an important Aquarium specialist in tropical marine fauna, with more than 2 million litres of sea water and 200 species, amongst which of note are the sharks and one of the most splendid collections of coral in the whole of Europe. On the other hand, there is the Dolphinarium, the only inland one in Spain and with seating for 3.000 people, while the Aviary consists of a huge area in which free flight exhibitions can be seen performed by exotic birds and birds of prey.

This is one of the opportunities offered by the New Education Classrooms, which ensure the sensitizing of our little ones regarding the protection of the flora and fauna within the park this season, as well as a look at life .behind the scenes. at the Zoo.
