Aquarium

Piramide de cristal del Aquarium de Madrid

The complex, in the shape of a glass pyramid, consists of two floors which occupy a total surface area of 2.000 m². The Aquarium enables us, on its lower floor, to submerge into the enigmatic ocean waters through two large tunnels of 18 metres length.

The animals are organised in such a way that the route is like a submarine journey: to begin with, the visitor “submerges” at the shores of the beach, then descends a gentle slope to the coral reef, where the waters of the ocean break.  Along the way, the sandy depths can be observed, the submarine prairies or the caves at the edges of the reef.  And finally, once the coral barrier has been passed, you can contemplate the large pelagic fish and, of course, the immense sharks.

Together with the upper floor of the enclosure, a diaphanous space with views over the shark tank, and the outside terrace, the Aquarium provides a magical atmosphere, unique and singular for the celebration of events.
