Exposiciones

The exhibition activity of the Madrid Zoo began in 1995 upon the inclusion in the Aquarium project of a large 550m2 exhibition hall.

In addition, the hall has a viewing window into the shark tank and is crowned by a pyramid-shaped glass cupola.

Since then, this space has hosted diverse exhibitions, with all of them showcasing a common theme, animals and nature.

Photography, sculpture, painting, … as well as other artistic manifestations, all find a home in this area that receives exhibitions from both collectives and authors.

Access to the exhibitions hall is free for all visitors to the Zoo.

At this time and through to the 3rd of June, the exhibition on show is “The links of Alexis”.

This exhibition, aimed at the public of all ages, promotes socio-cultural values of awareness towards fauna and the environment, through an artistic language of great magnetism, particularly for youths.

The exhibition focuses on a new look at the animal world: “the discovery of the missing link”.  A whole chain of beings, fruit of the original vision of the author, more humanistic than biological, about the evolution of the species from which we are all descended… although apparently we have no remaining memory of it.
