Panda tribute

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Spain and China, at Zoo we want to pay tribute to the panda bear as a symbol of union between the two countries. And the best way to celebrate this is the launching of panda activities for the whole family!

That's why, from Saturday May 6, the Chinese Cultural Centre will be offering free children's craft workshops at Zoo, under the title "The panda's house", in which this animal will be the protagonist! The workshops will take place every Saturday in May, on 3 June and on Saturdays 9 and 16 September, in celebration of the panda family's birthday.

Kid's workshops "The panda's house"

The children will have a great time with the kid's craft workshops "The panda's house" prepared by the China Cultural Centre. The best way to have fun while learning about the characteristics of this emblematic animal.

The kid's crafts you can join depending on the day will be:

Painting and drawing workshop: to give free rein to their panda artistic skills!
Panda fan: to make a great panda fan to cool off with.
Panda crown: they will have fun making their own panda crown.
Panda mask: they will become the best panda superheroes with their face mask.
Panda colouring: they will get all their creativity out to paint little panda figures.
Panda decoration: craft to create a small panda ornament.

These workshops will rotate, they will not all take place at the same time. Depending on the day of the visit, the workshops may vary.

Schedules and location:

Saturdays 6, 13, 20 and 27 May, 3 June and Saturdays 9 and 16 September.
From 11:00 to 14:00.
In Chu Lin square, opposite the panda meadow.

Panda talks

In addition, every Saturday, Sunday and public holiday, you can attend our educational talk about pandas, where you can learn all about the diet, curiosities and care of our panda family. We will also explain how the Zoo works for the conservation of this iconic animal.

You will be able to ask everything you have always wanted to know about this amazing animal, we are waiting for you!
